We established this shoot some 25 years ago on the magnifiicent Leighton Estate near Welshpool. The estate is privately owned and still boasts buildings such as the timbered Poultry House and the Cable House that bear testimony to the splendor of it's Victorian roots.
The 2,500 acres that make up Leighton incorporate rich undulating pastures, hill land and a wealth of well managed indigenous woodlands, affording us 15 drives of exceptional quality and maturity. Also of particular note are the majestic Canadian Redwoods established here 100 years ago.
From high points on the estate you can catch tantalising glimpses of the medieval Powis Castle, and feast your eyes on a breathtaking panarama over the Shropshire hills, the Berwyn Mountains and on towards the Welsh coast.
